What the app holds from Facebook and Instagram
When an authorized person connects a business to Motivent OS through Facebook Login, the app stores:
- The connection. An access token, encrypted on our servers, together with the name and Facebook user ID of the person who connected, the business portfolio, and the IDs and names of the ad accounts, Pages and Instagram accounts that person chose for reporting.
- Advertising records. Campaign, ad set and ad names, settings and creative text, image and video thumbnails, and daily performance figures such as spend, impressions, clicks, leads and purchases.
- Page and Instagram records. Follower counts, reach, views and engagement for the Page and the account, and the captions, timestamps and per-post figures of published posts and reels.
The app never receives your Facebook or Instagram password. It reads reporting data only; it does not publish, reply, message or change settings on your behalf. Our privacy policy describes how we use these records.
Option 1: remove the app in Facebook
Removing Motivent OS from your Facebook account or business portfolio tells Meta to notify us, and the deletion starts automatically. The app appears in Facebook under the name Motivent Lead Tracking.
For a connection made with your personal Facebook login:
- Open Facebook and go to Settings & privacy, then Settings.
- Choose Apps and websites (shown as Business integrations on some accounts).
- Find Motivent Lead Tracking and choose Remove.
For a connection made through a business portfolio:
- Open Business settings in Meta Business Suite for the portfolio.
- Under Integrations, open Connected apps (or Business integrations).
- Find Motivent Lead Tracking and remove it.
Meta notifies us for every connection tied to your Facebook account. We destroy the access tokens as soon as the notice arrives, stop all reading, and remove the stored records. When Meta shows you a confirmation code and a link to a status page on this site, you can check progress there; the status page shows only the request date and its state. If you see these instructions instead, the deletion is already under way, and you can write to us with the business name for confirmation.
Option 2: disconnect inside Motivent OS
A Motivent team member or an authorized client user can end the connection from the client's Client settings, under Connections, by choosing Disconnect on the Meta card.
Disconnecting destroys the access token immediately, removes the chosen ad account, Page and Instagram account from the client's reporting, and queues removal of the advertising, Page and Instagram records the app collected through that connection. Reconnecting later requires a new authorization through Facebook.
Option 3: send us a request
If you cannot use either option, or you want other information deleted as well, write to alex@motiventmarketing.com with the subject line Data deletion request. Include the name of the business, the Facebook Page, Instagram account or ad account concerned, and the email address or Facebook name used to connect.
We may need to confirm your identity and your authority over the business's records before acting. We acknowledge every request and complete the deletion within 30 days of verifying it, then confirm by reply. This option also covers information that did not come from Facebook or Instagram, such as account and contact details, as described under your choices and requests in our privacy policy.
What is deleted, and when
Whichever path you use, the access token is destroyed at once and no further reading takes place. The records listed above are removed from our production database within 30 days, and usually within the day. Backup copies expire on the regular backup lifecycle.
Reporting that other clients or connections still read is kept only where it does not come from your accounts. We keep records the law requires us to keep, such as billing records and security logs; those contain no Facebook or Instagram data. Figures that have already been shown to the client in a dated report remain in that report as summary numbers, with the connection and its source records gone.
Deleting the app's data does not change anything on Facebook or Instagram itself. Your Page, account, ads and their insights stay with Meta under Meta's own terms.
